just find time take by the berry to fall through a ht 12.1 when released from rest from the tree ( using g = 9.8 ), we get time as 11/7 secs now for the parade.. we have 6km/h, convert to m/s to get 5/3 so distance = 5/3 x 11/7 = 55/21 which is approximately 2.62 m. so, if we take the parade to begin crossing under the tree as soon as the berry is dropped, the berry falls on the person whose distance is appoximately 2.62 m. from the front of the parade
