Is RGIPT a good institue?

Can it compete with other top rated engineering colleges?
A biconvex lens of focal length f forms a circular image of sun of radius r in focal plane. Then

    a. area of cirle formed is proportional to f
    b. area of the circle formed is proportional to f^2
    c. if lower half is covered by black sheet, then area of image is /2
    d. if f is doubled, intensity will increase

A ray of light is incident normally on one of the faces of a prism of apex angle 30* and refrative index  .The angle of deviation of the ray is-
 A. 0*
 B. 12.5*
 C. 15*
 D. 22.5*

The correct answer is C. Pls explain why =]
18g of glucose (C6H12O6) is added to 178.2g of water. The vapour of water for this solution at 100 degree cwlcius is

 A. 7.6 torr
 B. 76 torr
 C. 752.4 torr
 D. 790 torr
It's more beneficial in baisc medium..n clemmenson reduction is more beneficial in acidic medium!
The electroneativity of the central atom decreases down the gorup..so the polarity in case of NH3 is maximum n in case of SbH3 it's minimum.

 More electronegative, more polar!!

 Hope it's clear nw!
If nt, yu can put your doubt here.
Even m gettin around 665K
I think that the answer is (D)..because the number of alpha hydrogebs will decrease if we rearrange the carbocation ...so it's nt feasible to do that..so it will nt get rearranged!!
While in others the number of alpha hydrogens increases if we rearrange the carbocation!!

 Hope it's clear!
 Ask me if it's not!!
Thanks!!
A line through focus of parabola y^2 =4(x-2) havin slope 'm' meets the curve in distinct real points, then exhaustive set of values of m is

 a) m : (-1,1)
 b) m: (-2,2)
 c) m : (-infinity,infinity)
 d) none of these

 plz answer asap!!!
lol
Locus of the point of intersection of the pair of perpendicular tangents to the cirlces  and  is the director of the circle with radius

 A)
 B) 2
 C)
 D) 4

plz post the solution asap!!! plz guys!
The distance of the point (x1,y1) from each of the 2 straight lines through the origin is d. The equation of the 2 straight lines is
 A)
 B)
 c)
 D)

pLZ PLZ POST THE COMPLETE SOLUTION ASAP!!!
2 circles hav an external with length 36cm. The shortest distance between these circles is 14cm. If the radius of the circle is 4 times the radius of the smaller circle then the radius of the larger circle in cm is

 A) 12
 B) 20
 C) 24
 D) 32

I've problem in understanding the first line..plz explain the solution.
plz reply guys
A solution of the differential equation   is

 A. y=0
 B. y=2x
 C. y=2x-4
 D. y=2  -4

Determine the equation of the curve passing through the originin the form y=f(x), which satisfies the differential equation

 dy/dx=sin(10x+6y)

 Please provide the complete solution
dy/dx=6/x+y . Given that y(0)=0, find value of y when x+y=6.
 Please give the complete solution.
No..yu don't hav to do it fr JEE bt will hav to do fr AIEEE, DCE n other exams!!!
According to Le-CHatilier's principle, adding heat to a solid and liquid in equilibrium will cause the

 A. amount of solid to decrease
 B. amount of liquid to decrease
 C. Temperature to rise
 D. Temperature to fall
0.005M acid solution has pH=5. The percentage ionisation constant of acid is _______ %
All r not having the same module in their hands..so plz try to post the whole question inspite of question number...

 Cheers!

What is the volume of 0.1 M HCl added to 800ml of CH3COOK to prepare buffer of maximum buffer capacity ?

Ans. is 400ml..can yu plz explain y??
oops!! i wrote BaCO3...lol i meant BaCl2 only
The answers according to me r:

  1)Banzoic acid i) 6.3x10^-5
  2) O- Choloro benzoic acid ii) 120.0x10^-5
  3) M- chloro benzoic acid iii) 10.3x10^-5
  4) P-chloro- BENZOIC ACID IV) 15.1x10^-5

Stronger the acid, more is the Ka value!!

The answer according to me is (d). More ionic compound will conduct more electricity...n BaCO3 is most ionic accoring to Fajan's rule..so ans is (d)
yes the answer is d only..both have sp3 hybridisation , so have tetrahedral shape.
Rate of effusion does not depend on number of moles taken..it's forrmuls is

Na is avogadro number..so it basically becums the ratio 1/2..n that's the answer

 Hope it helps!
Electropositive character - Na>Zn>Cu

 Electron Affinity- F>CL>O>N>C>Be
The answer is a) ethanol.
There is no hydrogen bonding in others .
The answer is a) ethanol.
There is no hydrogen bonding in others .
because of resonance with the group attached to it..
Yup...noble gases have more ionisation energies than metals n they also have higher electron effinity than metals...it's more difficult fr noble gases to lose electron than metals n it's more easy fr noble gases to accept electrons as compared to metals...so they have high e. affinity..if u hav any querries yu may ask...
Which hydride is more stable??

 K-H or CaH2
